Doing a little "ask me anything" on my artstagram today.
What are your hopes for your art?
Art right now is my hobby and I think I'm going to keep it that way. Drawing brings me joy after a day at work. I've been turning down commissions because I worry turning it into a "job" will make it less fun for me. All I'm interested in right now is making more art and improving along the way.
How did you learn to draw?
I'm still learning! I started out by rendering things realistically before moving to more stylized characters. Practicing a lot is how I get better. I experiment here and there to figure out what I like. Being able to look back on old work and seeing my progress is really rewarding.
Where do you get inspiration from?
I love the art community on Instagram because there are so many great artists out there. Just looking at their art pushes me creatively. I also look to other artistic mediums like photography and film.
I'm still working on technique but eventually I want to be able to tell stories with my illustrations. I'm inspired to create characters with a story to tell.
