We just watched the final episode of the whole series. Eight years of television. Expectations were high for this final season and I have to say... I'm pretty disappointed.

In the final season, we were prepared for an epic battle between the living and the dead. We wanted Cersei to die a horrible death. We wanted a stunning resolution with a new ruler of the seven kingdoms.

I feel like we didn't get any of those things.

The night king was feared for seven sessions prior. "Winter is coming" they said. Well, it came and it went in one episode. Many important characters should have died (in true GoT style) but basically all of them lived.

Cersei for crushed to death by rocks. ROCKS.

Daenerys death by Jon was expected but Bran is the ruler of the seven kingdoms?? Jon gets exiled back to the wall?? Arya goes where?? None of these resolutions feel right.

Overall it doesn't feel like much even happened in this final season. I was literally dozing off during the last episode. For such an epic journey, the conclusion was anything but. I don't even know what to say. I think I need to get back to some RuPaul.

@hum - ditto. I did doz off. What a monumental dissapointment ... A few people suggested that it may be a brand new set of writers or something... It can't be the same folks that created the past seasons.

@keni Yeah I'm not sure really! It seemed so rushed but at the same time, there were moments where I was like… what is the purpose of this scene. Unfitting end to an epic series.
