I'm sitting at the hairdresser's getting my fresh summer cut as I write this. The cloak thing they put around me has a clear window in it so your can play around with your phone. Good design!
For the longest time growing up, I had the classic Asian straight-bang hairstyle. A variation on the bowl but. Usually cut by my mom. So many times my bangs would be cut too short and I would get so upset.
I don't actually care that much about my hair. The cut I'm getting right now will cost me $10.
In high school, I did the complete opposite and got rid of my bangs. Both my sister and I had these awful middle parts and kept the length quite long. We looked like mops. I cringe looking at pictures from that time.
These days, I keep it simple with one later and simple side bangs. It's very manageable and low maintenance. I don't usually get a cut while I'm traveling so my hair gets quite long. When I come home I chop most of it off. It's now about an inch below my chin.
I wonder if I'll think differently about this "style" a few years from now.
