I've started going to meetups in Toronto to meet people while also doing something fun. Andrew was gone for the last week in Puerto Rico so it was a good opportunity to push my introvert self out of the house. I feel like I want to expand my social circle a bit now that we're going to be here more permanently.

Last week I went to see the new Spiderman movie with about 20 strangers. I didn't get a chance to talk to most of them but a few people had interesting stories and backgrounds.

Today I went to a boardgame meetup that was conveniently 5 minutes away from our apartment. We played Call to Adventure and I lost miserably but I still had fun! It sounds like they do this most Saturdays so I'll probably be back.

What I really want to do is find an a cappella group to sing with. My search has not been successful at all so far. A lot of groups are auditioned and sing boring songs. I'm just looking for a casual group that sings music that everyone knows. I'm going to keep looking but so far it doesn't seem likely.

I'm looking forward to doing some new fun things in this great city.

@hum - you could always start your own group. Not all singers think as clearly as you, so maybe they just need a leader.
