This is not the post I intended to put out today.

What I initially started writing earlier ended up becoming a longer, more intricate thread (more like a rambling) which will require some additional reflection and editing before I publish it.

Instead, I'm going to write about my journey:

A few years ago I had an awakening of sorts; where I realized that the path I was on, was not consistent with my deepest values and principles.  I had let myself get swayed by money and had given up on my dreams in return for safety, comfort and status.

I was lucky enough that a kind soul took notice of this and provided the space for me to look inwardly and re-discover what I had lost sight of.

It took a lot of work to re-design my life around my new found purpose, one that is rooted at the core of who I am and what I stand for.  And it has also been tough because, in a way, I've had to start all over again almost from scratch.

But, even when I may no longer have the same level of comfort and status, I feel it is much more meaningful to live a life consistent with my purpose and principles.  In the end being authentic about yourself is what matters.

There is more to the story, but that is all I will share tonight :)

@carlosbeas Just had my nine-year-old nephew tell me something to the same extent. Yet I still can't wrap my head around it. Keep going for it man, I hope one day I'll be able to follow your path.

@iligianna I'm not surprised. Kids/Children tend to be more in-tune with doing whatever feels right for them.
I can only speak for myself, but I can tell you that, when I went through my process, I noticed I had been trying to follow the scripts that others had presented me, instead of listening to my inner voice and blocking out external noise. This has been key in moving forward.
