#100days of sweat - with the hashtag - is a movement started by others. The goal being to do some physical activity for 100 consecutive days. Many people here have done this with the drop of sweat on their keyboard that arises when you anxiously write without the certainty it's the best use of your time. I've been doing a 100-days of sweat challenge with my son for 46 days now (sweating over my 200 word streak doesn't count).

In no particular order, things I'm noticing as I'm consistent with exercise.

Instead of avoiding sweat because I'll be 'sweaty'. I look forward to it and wear it as a badge of honor. "I got my sweat on today."

The rewards aren't external. Confidence, energy, patience, and perspective have improved over the last 8 weeks.

In the past, I've done things like 200-mile bike rides in a single day after only six months of training.

I'm excited to see how my mind is thinking differently about results with the focus on consistency. I used to think results were something you put on a timeline and made a huge effort to achieve. Now, I see results as a different destination - one you can simply plan for with a minor adjustment in your direction and arrive at with normal speed and no disruption to other activities.

Having a low enough body-fat composition to show off six-pack abs isn't my goal for this effort. It is about developing a working relationship with movement and effort - much like many of us are doing with writing and words. Over time, we'll achieve results we just can't get quickly.

Here's to a better destination made with choice and consistency.
