We were searching for something to watch on Netflix. It always takes forever. Between looking through everything that's available and then also looking up reviews. Andrew finally puts on Black Summer. Warning: spoilers ahead.

I have no idea what it is but I give it the benefit of the doubt. Within the first five seconds you can tell it's not a comedy. Not long after, it becomes clear that it's a  show about zombies. Someone dies, they get back up and start running at you with hallow eyes and rumbling growls. Yeah, the zombies in this show are fast.

The show actually seems pretty well done. The dialog isn't terrible (granted, there isn't much of it. It grabs your attention with suspense. It's filmed in Canada!

The problem is, I don't like this genre.

Not just zombie shows, stressful TV in general. Shows where I'm hiding behind by hands in some scenes. Shows where I feel like I'm on edge the whole time. I'm flinching before anything even happens. The characters are afraid and always on the defense. Nothing about it is fun for me. TV is supposed to be fun, right?

I think I'm just going to go back to some light-hearted Ru Paul. It's Sunday, I deserve to laugh.
