Phew, what a day. We left Hvar this morning. It was pouring so we thought the ferry back to Split might be canceled but luckily, we caught it early enough.
We ended up staying out until about 3 in the morning so we were all running on about 5-6 hours of sleep. We knew Friday and Saturday were going to be heavy days so we planned ahead for a chill Sunday.
Andre has been talking about Sunday roasts for a while now. Last time we met up in Lisbon he got sick on the weekend so we didn't end up doing the roast. This time, it was definitely happening.
When we touched down in Split, Andre and Andrew did a grocery run in the rain. They got a ton of stuff: potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, broccoli, and more to go with the 2.5kg of lamb we bought ahead of time.
We prepped all the food and put the lamb in for 4.5 hours of slow roasting. When it came out, all the meat fell off the bone. The vegetables were a great side and Andre even made Yorkshire puddings. Perfect for a day after partying.
The gang starts to leave tomorrow. Another great offsite in the books. We're already planning our next one!
