The plan was to get up fairly early, check in to our flight, and then head to the lounge. Our flight was at noon.
We ended up leaving our room around 10am. Not as early as I'd hoped but should've given us about an hour at the lounge.
We were in the South terminal so we had to take a shuttle to North terminal. We hopped off and went to get our boarding passes. That’s when I realized I didn’t have one of my bags. The one with a bunch of valuables in it: my iPad, my headphones, and my wallet.
I was on the verge of tears as we sprinted back to the shuttle. We waited for the shuttle we were on to come back. 2 minutes later, the doors opened and my bag was nowhere in sight. My heart sank.
Instead of heading back to the South terminal, we went back inside to look for the lost and found. And there it was, lying on the counter of the lost and found. Someone had turned it in 2 minutes earlier.
“I’m guessing you’re Sarah?”
To the person who turned it in, may you be forever blessed by the karma gods. I have faith in humanity because of people like you.
We never made it to the lounge but I don't really care. We made it to Toronto, all bags in hand. Another hectic day of travel conquered.
